Meditation

Meditation

Meditation is a process of going within to rediscover the truth about who you really are. It is a method of relaxing, rejuvenating and empowering the mind and heart. It helps you go beyond the physical consciousness and get a clear understanding of your true spiritual identity.

Raja Yoga meditation enables a direct connection and relationship with the Supreme Source of purest energy and highest consciousness. Raja Yoga can be translated as ‘supreme union’, or as ‘highest connection’. It helps you to rediscover and use the innate qualities such as peace, love and purity to create new attitudes and responses to life.

Meditation is a guided process of self-awareness leading to self-realisation. It calms the mind and enables the intellect to achieve insight and understanding of the spiritual laws and principles which sustain harmony and can bring natural renewal at all levels of life on earth.

Meditation enables an integration of your spiritual identity with the social and physical realities around you, restoring a functional and healthy balance between your inner and outer worlds. Regular practice of Rajyoga meditation helps us transform deep-rooted negative patterns of thoughts, feelings and personality traits and develops the power to focus, discern and decide clearly, act positively and adapt to changes easily. Meditation develops the power to choose creative thinking rather than passive thinking, positive response rather than negative reaction, love over fear, peace over conflict.

Realising the Self

Realising the Self

Realising the Self Sometime in the journey of life, some of the following questions might have crossed your mind. Even if they haven’t, they eventually will certainly occur !

* Who am I? What am I? What is my real identity?
* How do my thoughts and feelings interact with the body?
* How to make my mind powerful? Breaking the mysteries of mind;
* Understanding thoughts, how they come and go, how to regulate them
* Why do we come under emotions, feelings, tension and stress
* How does an individual develops behavioral patterns, traits etc;
how to transform them
* How to enjoy this precious life? How to lead a life of peace and bliss?

The first lesson is all about complete understanding of the self, which has remained a mystery that has eluded scientists, philosophers, great thinkers and many other intellectuals.

Soul and body

The human body is a complex pattern of physical energies. Atomic particles build together to form the organic structures and inorganic minerals, which perform the body’s chemical interactions, thus forming the basis of the hormonal and nervous control of the body. What we see as the old or young, ugly or beautiful, male or female, are also the differing levels of physical energies. However marvelous a machine the body may be, it is the presence of the non-physical conscious energy, the soul, which makes it function.

What Am I?

I am a living entity different from the body! Just as a person who speaks with the help of a telephone or listens to a call with the help of that instrument, has his entity different from that of the telephone – he himself being a living person who has the faculties or characteristics of feeling, thinking, willing and making effort. Similarly, the conscious entity in the body which uses the word “I” is different from the body which has eyes, ears, nose etc as it’s components. I am not the eyes, the ears or the mouth but I see with my eyes, speak through the mouth, hear with the ears and am their master. I am a soul (Atma), eternal and immortal. The body is mortal; I have got it to do actions and to experience the result of my actions. I am the doer and the one who experiences.

The soul is like a driver in-charge of the body, which serves as a carriage to the soul. The soul is a diamond, the body being the casket for it. When the soul leaves the body, the body is declared ‘dead’. Then people set about cremating it because, it’s valuable owner, the soul, has already left and the body is of no use. When the soul has relinquished the body, people say, “ the light (which is soul) has gone, that which lived in it has departed and the drama is over”

Faculties of a Soul

The soul is a living or a sentient being. It is said to be conscient or living because it can think and reflect; it can experience pleasure and pain, so also bliss and peace; it can bestir itself and make efforts and actions – good or bad. A soul has three faculties – mind, intellect and predispositions.

Mind is the thinking faculty of the soul. It is the mind that imagines, thinks and forms ideas. The thought process is the basis of all emotions, desires and sensations. It is through this faculty that, in an instant, thoughts can be projected to a distant place, past experiences and emotions can be relived or even the future can be anticipated. It is the mind that experiences the variations of moods. The mind is a faculty of the metaphysical soul, not be confused with the heart or the brain.

Intellect is used to assess thoughts. This is the faculty of understanding and decision-making which stands out as the most crucial faculty of the three. With the deepening and broadening of the intellect, clear understanding and the realization of the knowledge becomes natural, and the power to decide and reason becomes clear. It is the intellect which remembers, discriminates, judges and exercises its power in the form of will.

Predispositions (called Sanskaras in hindi) are the “impressions” or “subconsciousness” which is the record of all the soul’s past experiences and actions. Sanskaras can take the forms of habits, talents, emotional temperaments, personality traits, beliefs, values or instincts. Every action as an experience either creates a sanskar ( this is how a habit begins) or reinforces an old one. Whatever impression is etched in the soul remains within it, forming a complete archive of all the experiences that the soul has had. When we speak of defects, specialties or virtues, we are referring to the sanskaras. The sanskaras are the basis of the soul’s individuality.

Seat of the Soul

The soul is located in the middle of the forehead in between the two eyebrows. This is the seat of the soul. The brain is the “control-room”. Just as a driver controls the car using different parts of the mechanism seated at one place, the soul employs the brain to control the body. Brain is the machine by means of which the soul thinks, remembers, receives messages from or gives directions to the sense-organs. The brain is the meeting place of all nerves, which carry sensations from all parts of the body to brain which functions like a control-room and makes the body to work. It is in the brain that the soul, through the nerves, puts the body to work and experiences physical sensations, pleasure and pain or happiness and sorrow. But, the brain is separate from the soul, brain is a complex thing made of matter whereas the soul has the life-principal or consciousness.

Nature of Soul

A soul is a tiny, metaphysical, conscient point of spiritual light. There are a finite number of souls. Each soul is eternal. They were never created, and will never be destroyed. Each soul is unique. We are all souls, unique and different and remain so eternally. As such, souls are invisible to the naked eyes, but one can experience it’s presence. A soul has no gender.

The intrinsic nature of the soul is that of love, peace, happiness, truth, bliss, purity. Therefore, souls always desire for experiences of these
qualities. These are the qualities that naturally emerge when the soul is aware of itself, or in other words, is soul-conscious.
Body-Consciousness – the root cause of all evils in the world

A person is in body conscious when he/she identifies himself or herself with the physical body, ie when the thinking, feeling, actions and behaviors are with the awareness that he or she is a body. Being in body conscious is the root cause of all the evils in the world because the vices like lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego are all having their roots in body – consciousness

Soul - Consciousness – the key for a blissful life

When a person is in the state of awareness that “I am a Soul and not this physical body”, then he/she would be in soul consciousness. In other words, the person thinks, feels, acts, behaves, compares etc with the awareness that he or she is a soul, the master of the body. When in soul-consciousness, the original qualities of a soul naturally emerge. Then it is possible to experience lasting peace and bliss.

Karma Philosophy

There are times when thoughts of distress and tension raise their ugly head. There are situations when a person searches for right answers. Here are some typical examples – Why are we here? Why was I born here and he there? Why is she beautiful and I ugly? Why is so and so crippled for no apparent fault of theirs? Why does the egotistical bully who browbeats his business companions, fiddles his income tax returns and beats his wife, attain outstanding worldly success? Why does the timid, quiet little widow who has never said a harsh word to anyone, live in appalling conditions and die unwanted and uncared for? Why did he have to die? Why did he do that to me? Why is there so much suffering? Why this, why that?

The answers lie in one eternal truth - based on the Law of Karma or the Karma Philosophy – that no one can escape the result of his or her karma. Depending on the bad or good karma or action, one will suffer or enjoy, either in this or the next life. No one can escape the result of his or her karma. The law of Karma is inviolable. So everyone must act with a sense of responsibility. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. So we must acquire right knowledge of what is good and what is bad action. The morale of the story – I have to do right karma for my benefit; it is not for showing it to anyone outside.

Every human action has a moral aspect. If a person’s certain act is morally good, the person gets ultimately benefited. If, on the other hand, his acts are morally bad, he suffers. It would require a lot of space to express what is morally good and bad. But in one sentence, it may be said that, if a person acts under the influence of hatred, anger, lies, prejudice, greed, ego, partiality, lust and such other acts under the influence of body-consciousness, then his actions are bad or negative. These create disharmony and conflict and sufferings in the society.

On the other hand, if a person has a balanced judgment, stability of mind, peace of the spirit and acts with the feeling of love, justice, sympathy, humility and the such other actions in soul-consciousness, then his acts are good because such acts promote harmony, peace, unity and happy feelings.

The Power of Thought

The most powerful instrument that mankind possesses is thought power. Thoughts build our consciousness and shape our attitude. One needs to know how important thoughts are. Every human creation we see in this world is due to powerful thoughts in human minds. Thoughts shape our world. Thoughts are fertilized by knowledge. A person with a certain kind of knowledge usually creates thoughts in harmony with that knowledge. Knowledge gives wisdom; a person without knowledge is a person whose thoughts will be formed in ignorance.

Every action is preceded by thoughts. The quality of thoughts determines the quality of our karma. The karma in turn has good or bad effect on us. This again influences our thinking. So right thinking based on right knowledge is essential for leading a peaceful and contented life. Raja Yoga meditation helps us in doing the right thinking that leads to righteous actions. This also helps in remaining mentally strong amidst turbulent situations.

The Cycle of Time

The Cycle of Time

Cyle of Time In this lesson, we learn about the beginning, the middle and the end of one complete ‘time cycle’ of this world. More than anything else, we will understand the great significance of the period we are undergoing at present.

The world has been in existence since eternity and it will continue to be eternal. The world was neither created anytime before nor will it get destroyed later, because matter can neither be created nor destroyed, it only undergoes transformation from one form to another. Similarly this world also undergoes changes in its characteristics, but as such the world was not created out of nothing nor will there be a total annihilation.

The cycle of time is best understood with the help of the picture of the world drama wheel. It illustrates the “flow” of time. In the middle of it is the Fylfot ( Swastika ) which divides the Time into four equal parts. The Swastika is considered to be very auspicious.

In the first part of this Wheel of Time, marked by Swastika is shown Golden Age. Here the arm of the Swastika is pointing towards right because the right arm symbolizes what is good or what brings about goodness. In these early times, when the cycle started, people of the diety religion ( Sanatan Dharma) were possessed of divine qualities and nature and they enjoyed complete purity, 100% peace and complete prosperity.

Then came the Silver Age. In this era too, people were possessed of purity, peace and prosperity to a very high degree. But the degree of their divine qualities had decreased a little. They were two degrees less divine than the people of the Golden Age who were divine to the extent of 16 degrees. Therefore the arm of Swastika that indicates this epoch is bent downwards because souls in this era had come down from the state of super-righteousness to what is just righteous.

Next came Copper Age.After having experienced beatitude and fruition for many a life, turned ti the path of vices or unrighteousness. This is why the arm is reversed because the left hand symbolizes what is impure and auspicious. People then were second-grade by their nature, qualities and actions. Mankind is now divided on various religions; strifes and disputes started to appear and the five vices brought disquiet and sorrow in homes.

Steadily, unrighteous doings, ie the actions done under the sway of one or the other of these five vices, led the world to more and more impurity and sufferings and the world came under the yoke of Iron Age ( Kaliyuga). Strifes, wars, bellicosity and the resulting peacelessness increased rapidly in frequency and intensity in this era. Therefore the fourth of Swastika is shown raising itself up to indicate the rise in conflicts, clashes and calamities. Then, a stage comes when ignorance, lassitude, stupor, moral turpitude and sin become dominant. People become devilish by nature and religion becomes utterly degenerate.

The Significance of the present period
At present, we are undergoing through a critical phase in the history of mankind. This is the period of the confluence of the ending phase of the Iron Age and the starting phase of the Golden Age. This is the most important of all epochs, called the Confluence Age, when God, the Highest Being, descends in this world to meet the human beings, His beloved children and gives the most precious boons of Redemption and Beatitude.

Through the Godly Knowledge and the easy Raj Yoga, God creates the Golden Age or new viceless order. The act of ‘creation’ does not mean constructing something out of nothing but it means the moral reconstruction of mankind or the re-establishment of the ancient most Deity Religion. The reader would be pleased to know or, perhaps, surprised to know that God Shiva, the Supreme Father of all, is indeed doing this great task of resurrection of mankind at present. The world will soon be free of all miseries and the paradise, which is full of peace and happiness, will be established again.

The Nature of the World Drama Cycle
The cycle of five epochs, comprising Golden-Age, Silver Age, Copper-Age and Iron Age and the confluence Age repeats exactly everytime after it has turned full wheel. During every cycle, the souls who are the actors on this world-drama stage will be the same. Each soul will act the same part in every cycle since, in the soul itself is indelibly ingrained the part it has played life after life in the previous cycle or that it has to repeat cycle after cycle. Just as in a tape record or a gramophone record, a whole song or drama is recorded and it repeats every time the record is played, even so, a soul’s role in this world drama is recorded in the soul itself which is only self-luminous, conscient point. The soul replays the part once every 5000 years because each one of the four eras of the world-drama being equal to 1250 years, the duration of one World Cycle is 5000 years.

The Rise and Fall of Humans

The Rise and Fall of Humans

Rise and fall of Human We will understand this lesson with the help of the adjoiningpicture. It is a wonderful story of how the souls, who once were deities became the devotees and very ordinary human beings. It also explains how they lost the divine virtues, spiritual and moral values and developed devilish tendencies. The illustration shows that originally, human souls had complete purity, peace and prosperity and that they became defiled and peaceless later. Now it is time to again inculcate those lost virtues.

First of all is shown the Golden Age or the Satyuga, which is completely righteous. Shri Lakshmi and Shri Narayana and their dynasty ruled the world free from disease, sorrow, worry or vice. The people then had truly virtuous nature and outlook. During this period of 1250 years, the average age was 150 years. In this epoch, the people are most elevated, completely viceless and are invested with all good qualities and live under Divine Law. These people are considered to be class of deities.

Next comes Silver Age. In this epoch of 1250 years, average age of a person varies from 100 to 125 years. All are happy in this period as well. They have the rank of what are called Kshatriyas because they are not as pure as their predecessors – the deities.

Then in the Copper Age, they become body-conscious and are led to vices. So they have a fall, from a deity’s position which is worship-worthy exalted position to be just supplicant men or poor worshippers. Their rank is of middle class or Rajopradhana type. Their position is that of ‘Vaishyas’ –mediocre.

After this comes the Iron Age (Kaliyuga). The picture represents how in this epoch, Maya which symbolizes the vices, has grown in power over the world. In Iron Age, tamoguna, the basest form in man – is pre-dominant. All the persons are ranked as Shudras. In this epoch of 1250 years, there are 42 births. In this era, we see disputes and strifes, based on want of respect for authority and differences in ideology, religion, states and languages. People do not look upon one another as spiritual brothers and are thus turned away from God, who is the Supreme Father.

At present, we are in the Confluence Age – the confluence of the fag end of the Kaliyuga and the dawn of Satyuga or the Golden Age. This is the time to receive Divine Knowledge from God and practise spiritual discipline and easy Raja Yoga and re-acquire deity status. When the Iron Age is very near it’s end, unrighteousness is eliminated to make room for Righteousness (Dharma) and the deity-world. With this comes the Golden Age.

Understanding Rajyoga

Understanding Rajyoga

The word Yoga means ‘connection’. The mental connection between the soul and Supreme Soul or the remembrance of the Supreme Soul by the soul is called meditation or Raj Yoga. Stability in the Soul-consciousness and God-consciousness will bring peace and bliss to the soul. By this means, all the latencies of the vicious actions of the past lives will be destroyed because intellectual communion with God acts like fire. It burns the sins of the past. Yoga washes off all dirt from the soul; bathing in a river may clean the body but a soul is cleansed only in the remembrance of the Supreme Soul.

Yoga is the only means through which soul gets link or association with God, who is the truth. By dint of Yoga, man controls his otherwise fickle sense organs and overcomes diverse vile thoughts. Yoga has such great force that, under its influence, even the elements of nature are brought to elevated state and the righteousness and peace is established in the world.

Through the meditation or RajYoga, the soul gets immense joy of an extraordinary kind from it’s link with the Supreme Soul.

The Knowledge of our relationship with God

What is our relationship with God? Knowledge of the relationship between the soul and the supreme soul is very essential to remembrance. In his dealings in life, man remembers every now and then only those who are bound to him by ties of one kind or another. The closer the relationship, the more easily one is reminded of it without any effort, as it were. It is very important to realize and feel that God indeed is our Supreme Father-Mother, Teacher, true Friend and Guide, and the real Protector. Relationship is the lever that can lift us to the state of Yoga. So if we have clearly before us, our relationship with God, we shall every now and then be reminded of Him and only this true link redeems all the human beings.

God is the most beautiful being

Beauty is a thing that bewitches man and draws his mind and understanding again towards itself. But beauty of the physical body and other physical things is only temporary and subject to gradual decline and decay. On the contrary, it is the Supreme Soul, the Supreme Father, who is absolutely and truly beautiful. His beauty is spotless; it never suffers change or decline. Remembering Him will make a soul clean and beautiful.

How to practice Raja Yoga?

Whenever one remembers any person or thing, one is reminded of all that person or thing is and what one’s association therewith is. Hence, at the very start, you have the feeling that you are now here to remember God, your mind will at once be transported to the highest world of eternal Light, which is His abode. The qualities of God, the Supreme Soul, a point-of-light will come to the memory.

This means that you have not to utter any sound or syllable, nor recite mentally any formula or maxim. You have to let yourself easily remember Him, or be conscious of Him, the Supreme Soul who is in the Incorporeal World. This is similar to the way in which the memory of any of your worldly relations or ties comes to you. You will then recollect in some such manner as: “ I am a soul… I am a point of light and I am a child of the Supreme Soul… He is also a point of light. God the Supreme Father is an inexhaustible repository of knowledge, peace, bliss and love and is Almighty …. He it is who bestows blessedness on all… How very fortunate I am …”.

The knowledge of both the soul and Supreme Soul is already there. Hence this should not be difficult to practice. You need to withdraw yourself from all your sense organs and establish yourself in the faith that you are a soul, distinct from your body; You will be reminded of the Supreme Soul. As long as we live in the consciousness of the body, we tend to remember only the body and it’s connections. On the contrary, when I understand myself to be a soul, I will naturally put in mind the Supreme Father of the soul.

Benefits of Rajyoga

Benefits of Rajyoga

Benefit of Rajyoga The benefits of meditation are enormous. It calms our mind and body. In these fast and frenetic times, it has the most important ability to replenish mental and emotional energy.

Meditation enables you to create new attitudes and responses to life, giving you a clear spiritual understanding of yourself.

Meditation is the process of re-discovering, enjoying and using the positive qualities latent within you. Like any skill, meditation requires practice to achieve positive and satisfying results. By doing a little every day, it soon becomes a natural and easy habit, which generously rewards you for the little effort it involves.

What Does Meditation Do?
Meditation energizes your awareness bringing both peace and wisdom to a busy mind. It expands your capacity to love and heals broken hearts. Also it dissolves many fears replacing them with lightness and freedom from anxiety.

Meditation is both the journey and the destination, revealing the secrets of consciousness and the treasures of the soul. It develops the power to be more alert and to be effective in our interaction with each other and with our precious world. But perhaps the greatest gift that comes with meditation is the glow of inner peace that is both gentle and strong.

The practice of Raja Yoga meditation or intellectual communion with God brings into the soul many powers. Of these, eight are very important. Please refer to the adjoining diagram.

The Power To Pack-Up
With the ability to go within, one can learn how to pack up all wasteful thinking in a second, so that there is lightness and freedom from burdens and worries, though there may be many responsibilities. One’s mind is scattered over the wide world and so much drawn out to men and matters that he is unable to sleep or to detach himself at his will. With the practice of meditation, one can wind up one’s thoughts at one’s own will.

Power To Tolerate
Just as trees offer the same fruits to people whether they gently pluck the fruits or pelt stones at them, a yogi tolerates all attacks on him and does good even to those who offer brickbats at him. In the light frame of mind, one will be able to tolerate all types of situations and people to the extent that there is no sense at all of having to tolerate something or someone. With the understanding that each one is simply playing their role in this immense world-drama, impatience, irritation and annoyance disappear like mists before a bright sunlight.

The Power To Accommodate
Just as the ocean accepts different rivers that flow into it, whether polluted or clean, one will be able to adjust to all that is happening around him, so will a yogi be able to accommodate others with him. It power makes one broadminded. One will be able to adjust into all the happenings around him. Even when the atmosphere is charged with negativity or impurity, one remains unaffected.

The Power Of Judgment
One will learn to take correct and quick decisions. One will get the ability to accurately assess any situation with clarity and confidence. In a detached, impartial state of mind, one can judge one’s own thoughts, words and actions to see if they are beneficial. One will become a judge of the self and not of others.

The Power Of Discrimination
Just as an expert jeweler can easily distinguish between the false and the pure diamonds (or gems), one will acquire the power to distinguish between right and wrong or good and bad. One can accurately discriminate between real truth and the apparent truth, between things of temporary value and those of eternal value and between superficial and the subtle. The power helps in recognizing illusions even when they are sweetly decorated and enticing.

The Power To Face
Meditation develops the power to endure hardships. Adversities like death of those on whom one depends may come and high storms may rage strongly, yet his flame of equanimity does not get extinguished. Having confidence in one’s spiritual state brings the courage to face any type of situation.

The Power To Co-Operate
The natural result of all the powers is that I am able to share with others the tasks and qualities that my Father has given to me. There is no feeling of competition, so I can give as well as accept suggestion as to how to proceed with the task of world upliftment. By learning meditation, one will develop the spirit of co-operation. This is a great achievement because if everyone gives his little finger, the society could lift great mountains.

The Power to Withdraw
With full awareness that I (soul) am is an entity different from the body, one can withdraw from the senses and become a point. In the same way that a tortoise retreats into it’s shell in a moment of danger, or just to rest, a person would be able to retract himself from any situation and remain protected.

The Human Tree

Human Tree It is an indisputable fact that religion has an important influence on human mind. Along with the religion, the race, the language, the nationality, the culture, the ancestry with which a person identifies himself or herself has got a great bearing on his/her personality, beliefs, outlooks, attitude, consciousness and thinking. These are often the reason for so many conflicts in this world. So it is necessary to understand the original religion and culture of the mankind.

In order to elucidate the growth of this world and to illustrate the world developments, this world is compared with a tree which may be called ‘the Geneological Tree of mankind’. It is also known as kalpa tree because it depicts the history of the whole kalpa (one full cycle of all eras), the beginning the mid-period and the end of all the religio-political dynasties of the world.

In the beginning, depicted by the trunk, there was only one religion, which is the religion of the deities, and there was only one dynasty, called the sun dynasty. There was the deity-sovereignty, which set in vogue all righteous traditions and customs. The masses were, like their rulers, viceless and possessed divine qualities. Because they did good actions, even the nature was perfectly under their control. There was no fury of nature, neither ill-health nor want of money or food. All the elements were clean and excellent and therefore were instruments of happiness. Since there was complete purity, peace ad prosperity in that Age, kings and queens and their righteous subjects are shown with a halo of light around them. They were called deities because they were naturally holy, habitually righteous and instinctively spiritual and viceless. There was such great mutual regard and love in those days that it is said of the age in which a lion and a goat together drank from the same stream. There was unlimited wealth. Since people in that Age led viceless lives, they lived long and there was no case of premature death. They willingly gave up the body when they had reached old age. In other words, death never laid its hand on them.

In Golden age the souls were complete in all respects. In silver age, there was a slight decline in divine qualities. But even then there was sovereignty of complete peace and happiness.

Copper age follows the Silver Age. By this time, the souls, who had transmigrated through several lives, become body-conscious. The vices like lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego cast their shadows on them. And they had thus fallen from the state of purity and worthiness and become vicious and unworthy. As they forget their true selves and broke with purity, natural laws came to be violated. Even nature deviated from her usual course, having thus begun to harm them, even though slightly. It is in this age that various religions were established. A good many faiths began appearing like branches coming forth from the World-Tree. Abraham founded Islam; Buddhism was founded by Budha; Jesus Christ founded Christiniaty; Shankaracharya established the class of recluses and hermits; Mohammed Prophet established the Muslim religion. The previous deity religion came to be known as Hindu religion because they lost their deity-hood or divinity in them. The population also increased considerably. Whereas in the beginning, everything was one, now there are many religions, many kingdoms, languages, cultures and dynasties. Thus grew mutual strife, divisions and disunity and this state of affairs continued.

In the Iron Age that follows the Copper-Age, problems, difference of views and disputes begin to increase. The souls in this age are over-powered by vices and darkness of ignorance. They become vicious and impious. There is quite a crop of dissensions due to religious, communal and sectarian difference. Women are treated with utter contempt. Nature becomes instrumental in causing distress to man. Disease, grief, old age, premature death, death by accident, etc afflicted mankind.

When all the religions reach their lowest level, and all people, men and women become diabolic, there is misery and uproar. This is the time of wickedness and irreligion. People are given to sensual pleasures; they acquire bad qualities, ready to cause bloodshed on the score of differences in languages, views, politics, faiths, castes and states. Fighting among the nations brings about a great destruction of the world. Instead of behaving like brothers, people look upon one another as so many different beings and, therefore, they deal with each other as enemies. Being guided wholly by the feelings of nepotism, unrighteousness, lawlessness, selfishness, attachment, adulteration and bribery they desire to lay their hands on others’ possessions by any means. People discard all the feelings of mutual love and fight like demons.

What will happen next?

The world will not go on like this forever. Somebody has to put an end to all these evils. Otherwise the state of the world will be incomprehensible. This task is beyond the reach of any human being and only one Almighty God can establish lasting peace on earth. Incorporeal God Shiva descends in the body of an ordinary person, names him Prajapita Brahma, and through him, gives the Godly Knowledge and teaches the easy Raja Yoga. He shows the path by which anyone can become completely viceless and most righteous. In this way, God purifies the human beings of the old, impious world and transmutes them into pious ones, creating the Golden Age again.

Knowing God

Knowing God

Knowing the God In this world, many beliefs exist about God. As a result, people understand God in their own way and often in their own imagination. But what is required is the understanding God as He is, what He is and how He is. The correct understanding about God has to be given by God Himself!

There are some who don’t believe in the existence of God, often the reason being His existence cannot be proved like that of human beings. But because we cannot see God with the gross eyes, it doesn’t mean that God doesn’t exist. Just like wind, which cannot be seen but can be very much felt, it is possible to experience God’s presence through Godly knowledge and meditation.

Who is God and what is His form and name?
We shall now try to understand who God or the Supreme Soul is. The term ‘Supreme Soul’ means He is supreme among all souls. It implies that, He is also ‘a soul’, though He is the Highest of all. He is above birth and death. God is the Supreme Father-Mother, Supreme teacher and Supreme Preceptor to all the human beings and He himself has no father-mother, teacher and preceptor.

God is a subtle, infinitesimal point of Light. He is not visible to the naked eye but it is very much possible to experience His presence and proximity in meditation. He is incorporeal in the sense that he does not have a body of his own. He is not a human being nor does He have a human form. He is immune to pleasure and pain unlike human beings.

Names are a means of identification of human beings after they are born. They do not speak of qualities and actions of the person; they are simply proper nouns and are not attributive names. But the name of the supreme soul or God is based on His qualities and actions. His self-revealed name is ‘Shiva’. ‘Shiva’ means doer of good or benefactor. God does good to all and therefore He is called Shiva. All souls ask for salvation and beatitude i.e. peace and happiness from Him. People remember Him by many other expressive names.

His Virtues
God is the Supreme Father of all. He is called the creator. He is oceanic in his virtues – the ocean of peace, the ocean of love, the ocean of bliss, the ocean of knowledge, the ocean of happiness, the ocean of mercy, etc. He is the truth. He is the Almighty and Authority. He is reputed to be the preserver or sustainer of virtues and the destroyer of all evils. He is also the liberator, the guide, and the bestower of salvation, therefore the sadguru. He dispels sorrow, bestows joy. God is perfect in all ways and absolutely detached and loving. He is very benevolent and helpful and so souls ask all things of him. When in sorrow and losing all hope, souls turn to him intuitively and inevitably.

Many are the religions and paths that souls take in their quest for reaching God. Many wars have been waged in his name. However, he does not exclusively belong to anyone. He belongs to everyone equally.

The Supreme Father of all Souls
God is the father of all souls in this world. It is observed that all religions have images, idols or memorials bearing one name or another to represent the form of Light that God is. All over India, the images of the form that Shiva has is found installed; these images are without any human form, in the form of linga, which is the symbol of an incorporeal Being. At Mecca, in the holy place of Kaaba, a stone image with oval form is called “Sang-e-Aswad”. The devotees who go for Haj kiss this holy stone. Jesus Christ said, “God is Light”. Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism also sang the praise of Him who is ‘All-Light’ ( ek Omkar) and is incorporeal. In olden days, the Jews held a stone of this shape in their hands while taking a solemn oath and it is believed that Moses had vision of this form of God when he saw a flame behind the bush. The Zoroastrians worship God as fire. The ancient Egyptians worshipped the sun as god. A Buddhist sect in Japan focuses the mind on a small oval shape. They call it Karni, the peace giver.

It seems therefore that human beings, without realizing, have all been worshipping and trying to discover the same God. There is only one God and His form is a point of light. He is called by different names in different religions.

The Divine Abode of God
Where does God live? Is there somewhere one can go to see Him, to be with Him? God is a subtle point of light, and He does not pervade the physical universe. Nor does he live in the heart of any human being or in any matter. Neither is He omnipresent; nor is He having a human form. His home is the incorporeal world, an infinite expanse of golden-red light, which is beyond this physical world we live. It is the original abode of all souls as well. The incorporeal world is known as Paramdham or Brahmlok. Knowing where the Supreme Father is, we can establish connection with Him through thoughts during meditation.

The Divine Descent of God
God descends into this world when it is under the spell of extreme darkness of ignorance, unrighteousness, moral turpitude, spiritual lassitude and religious decrepitude. This is described in scriptures as “Dharma Glani”. Looking at the state of affairs today, it should not be difficult for us to conclude that the time the world is undergoing at present is indeed the Dharma Glani. This is the period of darkness when sins and crimes of all kinds usually take place; when man gropes around for want of clear vision. It is at this time that God intervenes in the affairs of mankind. The divine intervention takes place at the darkest hour of human history when the human soul is groping in the darkness of ignorance about the self, the creator and the creation; when the souls are blinded by the vices of lust, arrogance, anger, greed and attachment.

It is in this time that God descends in the body of an ordinary man to reveal the Godly Knowledge, which paves way to victory over vices and cultivate divine qualities in life. This enables human beings to transform into divine beings again.

WORLD PEACE

WORLD PEACE

The state of universal peace is that state of the universe in which elements and forces of Nature are in perfect harmony with and lend best comfort to man, and the relations of every individual with all others are characterized, unexceptionably, by inborn sincerity goodness, honesty, natural cordiality, love and joy. Society, in this sate, is not torn asunder by any kind of strife based on caste, color, creed, regional or national boundaries, languages, religious beliefs or antagonistic political or economic systems. There is, in that society, only one language and one over-all sovereignty, and all people live as one big family, leading a life of utmost piety, and yet there is no formal church, or any kind of religious preaching, or any scriptures or preceptors. People, by nature, are fully disciplined, self-controlled and virtuous. They have child-like innocence and purity, and there is neither any written law nor any low-enforcing police-force nor any judiciary and jails. Neither is man slave to flesh nor to gluttony nor has he hate and anger. He leads a life, having balance of love and law and is close to nature.

It is His promise, recorded in Shrimad Bhagvad Gita and there are prophesies recorded in other is utter irreligiousness, unrighteousness and viciousness, and then He would come to reveal again the original and true Godly Knowledge and Yoga. The Christians believe in the coming of Mastery Buddha. Some say that he would come as Kalki. Similarly, other religions prophesise the second coming of the Founder of their respective religion on someone empowered by Him. Surely, the Founders of every religion will come. But let us understand it clearly that they would come again at their respective time as given in the wheel of Time. Now, when there is utmost degeneration, it is the time for God and He alone is capable of doing it.. The present world also was created by Him and it was He who created Adam, Brahma or first Menu. Now also, He is revealing spiritual Knowledge and Yoga and, by means of it, He has created again Adam or Brahma and his sons and daughters. It is our sacred duty to inform all about the gracious advent of Him, the Supreme Father, Teacher and Preceptor offal souls. Anyone may agree with us and recognize the truth and have an uplifting experience or may deride and ridicule. It is his or her choice.
We know that announcing the coming of God, the Redeemer, is to make the biggest-ever claim, yet the compelling truth and experience urge one to give vent and one becomes helpless to keep totally silent, for it would be dereliction of duty.
God the Father, speaks souls, the children
“My dear children! I am re-establishing the Heavenly Kingdom where everyone, without any exception, would be healthy, wealthy and happy. That world would be free from hatred, violence, injustice and dishonesty. There, a cow and a lion can sit together without any fear or enmity. The environment there would be lush green, yellow and clean. There will be no political boundaries nor would be difference of language. The world would be one undivided family. There would not be religions, based on birth, country or books. All would live a life of absolute purity and would be stabilized in the universal ‘religion’ (dharma), based on soul-consciousness and vicelessness…..”
“My beloved children, I have come to give your God Fatherly inheritance, lasting over 2500 years in a world free from any kind of calamity. Children, though you called me as one calls a Father, you did not know what inheritance I bestow as Father. So, I have come myself to tell you about it and enable you to inherit it from me…”
“Children, I am revealing new knowledge and also Rajyoga, based on this new Knowledge. For establishing a new world order, new Knowledge is necessary. Now listen to me. You may compare and contrast this with whatever you have already learnt and will see the vast difference. Children, if what had already been told during the last two eras were God’s Knowledge, then there would already have been the Golden Age.”
“Dear Children, I know that you do not wish to commit any sin or have any vice. Many a time, you have decided to give up anger and other vices. But your past tendencies compel you to do these again. It is because the soul has become weak and cannot control itself. So, there is need to know your real self, to have self-respect and to have positive thinking. This can be done by the power of Rajyoga, i.e. Medition. You must now spend some time and pay attention for empowerment of the self through Yoga. This is the need of the Time.”

Spiritual Leaders

One of the first questions frequently asked upon encountering the Brahma Kumaris is, “Is this a women’s organisation?” The answer is “no”. Although primarily administered by women, it is an organisation in which both women and men participate equally.
The Role of Women

In October 1937, Brahma Baba formed a Managing Committee of eight young women and in February 1938, he surrendered all his property and assets to a Trust administered by them. The soundness of his decision to choose women and young girls as administrators and spiritual teachers has been born out by the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (BKWSU) becoming a respected global institution under their leadership. Brahma Baba also correctly foresaw that core values based on traditionally feminine qualities – patience, tolerance, sacrifice, kindness and love – would increasingly become the foundation of progress in personal growth, human relations, and the development of caring communities.
Spiritual Partnership

Brahma Baba’s vision of the future world was one of harmony between the sexes and of partnership rooted in spirituality, for spirituality is the key to trust and respect. Today, although women head the organisation, there are many men coordinating centres and playing other key administrative roles.

Stress Free Living

Stress has been identified as a leading cause of many health problems. Largely psychological, rather than physical in origin and therefore much more difficult to prevent and remedy, modern stress affects nearly all of us at some point in our lives. Regardless of its origins, stress drains our physical, emotional and mental energy.

Several myths exist about the causes of stress and the most effective ways of dealing with it. A Stress–Free Living seminar can free you from these illusions and misconceptions and give you a new perspective. You will learn how to:

* Identify different levels of stress and rise above them to create a relaxed mind and body;
* Protect yourself from negative influences;
* Gain confidence in dealing with difficult relationships;
* Empower your ability to respond effectively in high stake situations.

Positive Thinking

“You are what you think!”

This simple but accurate statement indicates that what we say, what we do, and what we feel – all have their origin in the mind.

The energy of the human mind is one of the greatest, but least understood energy resources of the universe. When we understand and harness this energy, we possess the keys to happiness and contentment as well as to improving our relationships and circumstances.
Positive thinking: Make Your Mind Your Best Friend

How I think about myself and how I use my mind immediately affects my relationship both with myself and others. Trust, love, respect, understanding, and good communication characterize any good relationship. Am I my own good friend and companion?

Thoughts are like seeds. Loving and happy thoughts produce beautiful flowers and nourishing fruits; or thoughts can be spiteful and depressed, producing painful brambles or poisonous weeds. We can master our life by producing those ‘fruits’ which are wholesome, attractive and nourishing, and which give us the most happiness and contentment.
Positive Thinking Course – The Aim

The aim of the Positive Thinking course is to give you an understanding of the nature of thought. You will learn methods for being more positive and constructive at home, at work and in your relationships. Topics covered include–

* Understanding the energy of thought,
* Getting to know the mind,
* Taking control of life’s experiences,
* Developing self esteem,
* Creating one’s own reality and
* Making daily living a positive experience.

The Positive Thinking Course is offered at no charge.

The course is taught in small and large groups. Each course consists of four to five lessons, each lesson lasting for 1.5 to 2 hours. In some places the course is offered as a weekend retreat. For more information on dates and timings contact a location near yo

Meditation

The most important journey you can take is the journey within. This is a journey to the truth of who you really are. This is the place, just beyond every day consciousness, where spiritual empowerment begins. Spiritual power gives you the power to choose creative thinking rather than automated thinking, response rather than reaction, peace, love and harmony rather than stress, conflict and chaos.

Meditation enables you to embark on this inward journey. Raja Yoga meditation gives you a clear spiritual understanding of yourself, helps you re–discover and use the positive qualities already latent within you, enables you to develop your strengths of character and create new attitudes and responses to life.

You begin to remember things about yourself that you once knew, but had long forgotten. You start to enjoy moments of silence and to savour periods of introspection and reflection.

Meditation also helps you disconnect from damaging habits of thought, feeling and reaction. This results in a conscious, positive release of energy which improves the quality of your attitude, actions, and interactions.

The process of going within, disconnecting from harmful habits, connecting to your innate spiritual resources, and reconnecting with your external life, is personally empowering in a lasting way.

Meditation is taught as a method of raising self-awareness leading to self–realisation. Meditation stills the mind and empowers the intellect to achieve insight and understanding of the spiritual laws and principles which sustain harmony and can bring natural renewal at all levels of life on earth.
Raja Yoga Meditation

“Meditation, accurately directed, makes God accessible to everyone.” –Sr. Jayanti, God’s Healing Power (Michael Joseph, Penguin Group, 2002)

Raja Yoga meditation redefines the self as a soul and enables a direct connection and relationship with the Supreme Source of purest energy and highest consciousness. Raja Yoga can be translated as ‘supreme union’, or as ‘highest connection’. Every soul has a right to experience this ultimate relationship.
Experience Meditation

Like any skill, meditation requires practice to achieve satisfying results. More and more people are adding some kind of meditation to their daily routine either as an effective antidote to stress, or as a simple method of relaxation. By doing a little meditation every day, it soon becomes a natural and easy habit, which generously rewards you for the effort it involves (Experience Meditation).

When will Shri Laxmi come in every home ? BK Bhagwan, Shantivan In the deep darkness of Iron Age every human being is caught in distress and poverty.

When will Shri Laxmi come in every home ? BK Bhagwan, Shantivan In the deep darkness of Iron Age every human being is caught in distress and poverty. Man is not in harmony with himself and the world. Once upon a time there was an Age known as Golden age when all men and animals were happy. Those days are still remembered, the time when one could find a cow and lion drinking water together at the same bank of river. There were places adorned with gold and silver. The kings and his subjects were blessed with the same divine qualities. Hence they were known as Deity. Every home was the abode of Shri Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth. But when these same deities were caught in the pursuit of sex-lust, greed, ego, anger and worldly attachment, then slowly over the ages, Poverty, disharmony, depression and corruption seeped in and took hold over humanity. Then man started worshipping Shri Lakshmi in the hope of achieving richness and to become like Shri Lakshmi-Shri Narayan. But this kingdom of wealth can only be achieved if the five vices are under control. This is shown symbolically in the festival of Dussehara where 10 heads of Ravan are burnt, these represent 5 vices of male and 5 vices of female. It is only after this that Diwali, the festival of joy is celebrated. Similarly, when every human being awakens and the glowing members of the spirit twinkles in there enlightened eyes and we will be clean in body and spirit then only will Shri Lakshmi enter in every home. To enter the world of Satyug these nine qualities are essential: - We should emulate the qualities of Shri Lakshmi and Shri Narayan, which Helps us to transcend from just Nar (Man) to Narayan (devata) when man’s actions are perfect then even nature was in the true service of humanity. Our perception for our fellow being should be pure, free of all that is not Acceptable to the divine. To be rich in everything as Shri Lakshmi Shri Narayan, Our outlook and thought should be crystal clear like fresh spring water. There Should be universal brotherhood; we should all be like one family. Then only will Shri Lakshmi comes to our home.
Man’s life should be like the petals of the lotus flower. The abode ofShri Lakshmi & Shri Narayan symbolize this. Even while living in our house in stagnant Water. It always retains its pure qualities. Humanity is different in its myriad Bodies and souls in behaviour, nature, qualities and duties, it should be Uniform like Shri Lakshmi-Shri Narayan. To make one’s life whole and complete one must achieve a balance between Good action and spiritual knowledge. It is only when one understands God’s Commandments and has absolute control over one’s own action, can one be of Perfect character and be able to guide others to achieve the same. One should bear the crown of responsibility, we must attempt to change the World around us by first bringing about change in ourselves. Continuous soul conscience vision (Swadarshan) we had 84 births and now go back to our supreme abode, with this in mind we keep all our actions perfect. We Must get rid ourselves of all weakness by spiritual and physical, then only can we Welcome Shri Lakshmi & Shri Narayan in our homes. Conc. with speech: Pure, knowledgeable and sweet words should always be at our lips, this is to impart the god news of joy. Then we can become like a Shri Lakshmi Shri Narayan. Using mace of knowledge: Any adverse situation and problem that comes in Life, one has to relieve from it by knowledge and keep advancing and one’s life Knowledge full and great. One day we will be perfect then Shri Lakshmi will be in our Home. Life like Lotus Flower: Performing everything lovefully but completely detached. Creator is performing through me the instrument with this attitude if we perform action our life will be like Shri Lakshmi Shri Narayan. If we all bring the aforesaid points in our Practical lives then every home and every corner of the world will be full of completeness, divinity, wealth and Shri Lakshmi will come in each home. That’s why these attributes are given in the hands of Shri Lakshmi, Just by cleaning the home and lighting the candlelights. From time immemorable how many Diwali’s we have celebrated. But instead of coming of Shri Lakshmi or
Completeness in each home, country, and whole world there is immense poverty, corruption, disease, suffering, and body consciousness is going on increasing every year. Therfore, in this year ignite your soul’s light by putting the ghee of spiritual knowledge and remove the waste of lust, anger, greed, attachment, ego hatred and all negativity from your mental home. Cleanse the self and others with in and light with the spiritual light and might, which is being bestowed by our spiritual father. Then only in each home and in world there will be complete happiness in the Diwali. So all of you please accept Hearty congratulations and advance greetings of true Diwali.

In remembrance of Mamma “ Experience with Mamma of Dadi Shantamaniji”
Brahmakumar Bhagwan Bhai
Shantivan
Mamma was born in a rich family of Sindhi Society in Amritsar (Punjab).
Her name was Radha and very sweet in nature from childhood. She had a good habit
to do something new in her every work(each task). She used to like to play & sing.
Mamma’s most favorite song is:
Twinkle twinkle little star
………………………..
Mamma had the hobby doing something new that can attract everyone. Her life-style was different from others in speaking, walking, & in eating so that people must be attracted towards her. She liked to live close of everybody
Her father got loss in business and some time latter her father expired. Her mother fell into deep sorrow. As she started to forget her sorrow, started to go in “Om Mandali” a satsang conducted by Baba. Once her mother went to “Om Mandali” along with Mamma. At a first glance when Mamma got dristi of Baba, she felt a feeling of her real father from Brahma Baba. Then Mamma (Radha) started to go in satsang regularly. One day Baba asked her whether she wanted to marry with Pitamberdhari shree Krishna or with pant suited kaliyugi person. Baba further said to replyin 24 hours. Radha (Mamma)could not sleep wholenight . As she went in satsang next morning, she replied Baba that she wanted to marry with shree Krishna as she liked to lead pure life. After listening the answer, Baba kept the Kalash of knowledge on her head & told her that she is not ordinary then. Baba further told that she is Jagadamba (Mother of the Universe), and have to do benevolent of souls of whole Universe. From then she became Mamma of everyone. Mamma’s mother too used to call Mamma. Baba also usually called her Mamma.
Once someone did a mistake. Then Baba asked at night in tribune, who’d done that. No one did rise hand out of them. At last moment Mamma rose her hand up and said if anyone of her child had done any mistake then she was sorry for that, as she was mother of all. So she was always first in making effort (purusharth). After hearing her answer Baba really felt that Mamma is a real mother of all. Mamma always used to pay attention on her effort (purusharth). Mamma often used to say, “whatever I do, will be followed by everybody.” Whatever mistake Mamma did once, never did repeatedly in her life. Everyone had feeling from Mamma that she had come as an angel from beyond of sky for to upgrade or make elevated us. Mamma never disturbed others, but loved everyone. And everyone used to feel lightness after telling their problems to Mamma.
Mamma liked lonelyness. Mammma used to awake 2am in Amritwela to give vibrations of peace, powers to all the souls of univers. She always used to spend her total time in ‘yagga service’ and ‘palna of all’. Mamma never wested any second in useless chit and useless thought. And so Mamma become got highest stage after being perfect in a short time and a little age. And Mamma became to able to worship as a Durga Maa, Laxmi, Jagdamba Maa, Sheetla Devi etc. Let us we promise together that we never repeat any mistake like Mamma and we would never do any wrong work as every one would follow us. And after practices these points we can also get perfect stage like Mamma. Mamma always use to that we should see ourself but not others. And with this highest stage of pursarth our sweet mother Mamma became full & perfect and she went in Baba’s Lap to give peace, love, purity to Souls of universe and to do unlimited service of universe. After hearing jeals of knowledge Mamma used to sing song with planing Benfo- And her sweet words used to absorb every one’s sorrow.

Never Far Away

Never Far Away
I'm gone now, but I'm still very near.
Death can never separate us.
Each time you feel a gentle breeze,
It's my hand caressing your face.
Each time the wind blows,
It carries my voice whispering your name.
When the wind blows your hair ever so slightly,
Think of it as me pushing a few stray hairs back in place.
When you feel a few raindrops fall on your face,
It's me placing soft kisses.
At night look up in the sky and see the stars shining so brightly.
I'm one of those stars and I'm winking at you and smiling with delight.
For never forget you're the apple of my eye.

Brahma Kumaris –

Brahma Kumaris –
The Founder – Brahama Baba

Dada Lekh Raj was famous diamond merchant in his late fifties. He had a deep urge for rediscovery of the self, understanding the mystery of the world and realise the true nature of the Supreme Being.

In 1936-37, he experienced series of revelations (Sakshatkars – divine visions) of the Incorporeal Supreme Soul – the Being of Light. He also saw vision of Value- based society, characterised by love, peace, harmony, health, and happiness. He had a call to be an embodiment of virtues, to set an example to inspire others by his practical life and to create other human instruments like himself to spread education in values, mediation and spiritual Knowledge so that the Golden Age Might dawn.

He had a call to be a human medium of the Divine so that God might speak and manifest His knowledge through Dada Lekh Raj. It was in response to this call that this institution in its nascent form was formally founded in 1936. He formed a Trust, consisting of only women, and placed his entire movable and immovable properties in their hands to run the Institution. Thus, he gave dignity and honor to women and they have, since then, been in the forefront as leaders of a revolution in moral, spiritual and human values.

In course of time, Dada Lekh Raj came to be known as Brahma or Prajapita Brahma and those who were spiritually regenerated through oracles of Brahma were know as Brahma Kumaris and Brahma Kumar’s. Educational institution came to be known as Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. The Institution organizes and participates in dialogues across a wide spectrum of issues promoting peace and understanding in many local and global forums.

The Spiritual Dimension

How to Be Happy

How to Be Happy
Are you almost disgusted with life, little man?
I'll tell you a wonderful trick
that will bring you contentment, if anything can
Do something for somebody, quick!
Are you awfully tired with play, little girl?
Wearied, discouraged, and sick-
I'll tell you the loveliest game in the world,
Do something for somebody quick!
Though it rains like the rain of the flood, little man
and the clouds are forbidding and thick,
You can make the sun shine in your soul, little man
Do something for somebody, quick!
Though the stars are like brass overhead, little girl,
and the walks like a well-heated brick
and our earthly affairs in a terrible whirl,
Do something for somebody, quick!

God’s Descent On Earth -Seeing is Believing

God’s Descent On Earth -Seeing is Believing
Ii
t was the eve of MahaShivratri. About thirteen thousand BK Sisters and Brothers from around 67 countries sat in silence to invoke God’s descent on the eve of His 67th Incarnation Day. As mentioned in the Puranas, ‘Where there is silence, there is God’, the abode of God is the sweet incorporeal would of silence, Paramdham, and from there He descends and reveals Himself through His chosen human chariot. For Shiva, the glorification lies in His descent through the human medium of man as well as of woman. What joy one feels when the desire of many births, that is, to be face to face with God in complete silence, gets fulfilled! Only those, whose third eye of wisdom is open, can clearly see Him, understand His words of wisdom (spoken in a whispering tone) feel the fantastic vibrations of comforting purity, peace and love and enjoy the ecstasy of being true spiritual beings on earth. It is indeed so great, so deep and so enlightening to be part of such a mountain of silence and peace, created on His descent through the chosen medium. Even whilst listening to His words of wisdom (through the Medium), for those who are in complete unison with Him, it is a feast of subtle, angelic experience throughout those meditative hours. It is the experience of purity and God’s spiritual love, as symbolized by the Mansarovar Lake on the path of Bhakti; true to the devotees’ beliefs, anyone who bathes in the lake of spiritual wisdom emerges as an angel.
For hours, the listener experiences super sensuous joy by beings face to face and listening personally to God speaks. Thus speaker Shiva on the eve of Mahan Shiva has come to celebrate the Incarnation Day of the Self, as well of the Saligrams (symbolic of souls). This Anniversary of the Incarnation is so wonderful that spiritual children from all around (the globe) have come here flying to celebrate it. This Anniversary of the Father’s Incarnation and that of the spiritual children occurs on the same day. It is so amazing that the Father and the children celebrate their anniversary on the same day! Who is congratulating whom on this auspicious anniversary? Is it the children of the Father extending congratulations? Both are conveying greetings to each other! The children and the Father have great, great, great love for each other because the spiritual birth takes place simultaneously and both are meant to spend the entire life together. Both the Father and the children are occupied with the same unique task of world- transformation and will return together to the Sweet Home of Silence, on completion of our work. Such is the bond of our work. Such is the bond of love between the Father and children”.
After bathing in the lake of Godly nectar, each chosen soul is deeply inspired to constantly remain in that flying stage and become real and worthy examples of pure, voiceless beings on earth. Our own lives will thus become towering Light Houses of Peace and Tranquility to inspire others around us.
The message of “Self Realisation” and “God Realisation” needs to spread in all corners of the world for ushering in a new era of spiritual kinship, which will enable us to realize and enjoy truth, peace and contentment in all our endeavours as human beings. What we see today in the world is completely devoid of this fellowship feeling and in sharp contrast to our innate belief and human desire for real love, lasting peace and happiness. Celebrating Shiva Jayanti in its true spirit would spiritually unite the world and create brotherly, loving feelings of friendship. Shiva, Jehovah or Allah is different names of the One Supreme-Father. When all humankind understands and realizes this spiritual understanding, the light of love would envelop everyone in God’s great arms. Heaven would unveil on earth and the threat of war and destruction would cease to exist. When every single human soul realizes this, the flags of God’s victory over satanic forces would fly high around the globe and Godhood would emerge in everyone’s life. This is the message of God Shiva unto every human soul on earth.
“Let all of our endeavors, like the ‘Shiva Avtaran Mahotsav’ of Ahmedabad and Mumbai, convey this message to the world, loud and clear” – as rightly expressed by Dadi Prakashmani, Chief of the Brahma Kumaris.

You Said

You Said
You said you were afraid to go to a better place
until I lit the path and took your hand.

You said that you were afraid to try
until I convinced you that in my eyes you couldn't fail.

You said you couldn't share your hurt
until I showed you the scars on my heart.

You said you wished you could do things differently
until I convinced you that it wouldn't change how I felt about you.

You said you couldn't fly
until I lifted your arms and blew confidence under your wings.

You said you were too tired to go on
until I lent my shoulder to carry your load.

You started to say you didn't deserve.
I said be still and know that you are special.

4. Thoughts have colour

Thoughts have colour and are measurable. The aura emanating from a human being has colour. The golden, blue and black colour of an aura indicate a Satvic Rajavik, and Tamavic mind respectively. Now a days thoughts waves are being measured in terms of theta, beta, Alpha ans Gama. An ordinary human being has Beta waves. Silence to the maximum indicates Gama waves. B.K. R. D. Janaki is proved to have acquired this unique wave in an exclusive experiment carried on by the Pennysylvania University of the U.S.A.

Thoughts are then waves in the Ether. Hence these can transmitted to the desire persons or to the targeted place or desired thought waves can easily be received by the respective minds. Transfering thoughts by one person to another istermed as telepathy in occult sciences.

Like all othe r energies, thoughts is also an energy which can even kill or give life. When a particular place is full of similar thoughts we call it an atmosphere. This is now a religious p;ace a temple a church or a Mosque create a atmosphere of devotion dedication and prayer. Similar thoughts attracts one another. The like mind people flock together.

5.Positsive Thoughts as Medicine

Your life is what your thoughts make of it. Transform your attitudes and thoughts and you will transform the quality of like you are living. Transform your negative thought into positive one day everything will change into inner peace, plenty and positive health.

Most of the neerrotic diseases are caused due to negative thinking. On the attitudes and thoughts depends on health, our happy feeling and peace our efficiency and stamina and our relationship with others. Therefore those thoughts which bring about a feeling of disappointment anxiety, rage, hypertension etc. are called negative thoughts. In other word the negative feelings alter the steady stage and they challenge or put stress on the adoptive mechanism of the body these are considered the causes of all sufferings.

Positive thinking makes the mind healthy, As most disease are first, born in the human mind and then cripple the body organs, positive thinking act as an antidote to neutralize the origin.

Rajyoga meditation is the method and the practice which enables one to stabiles in the self. This is aimed, at realization of the true nature of the soul and attainment of bliss and peace. It frees the soul of all morbid thoughts and psychopathological states and gives it purity and lasting peace.

6.The Power and effect of thoughts

You are responsible for your own thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Thoughts have great power. You create your feelings and experiences by the thoughts you choose to thing.

You have the ability to create your thought in positive way.

Frequent repetition of the same types of thoughts creates your belief and attitudes.

Thoughts one like seeds, you plant, in your mind the mere you hold on to a particular thought. The more you can invent in it.

Positive thoughts are those of silence, love, peace and happiness they give us energy and strength.

Negative thoughts are those of doubt, aggression, guilt, jealously. These thoughts rob us of power and strength and makes us feel tired and drained.

What you believe comes true for you.

You can’t control other people situation can circumstances you can control what is going on inside of you.

Develop the habit of watching yourself listen to what your are telling yourself.

7. The Thought And Thinker
( Both Are Metaphysical)

Example: Chair And Car Occupy Space But Thoughts And Ideas Are Spaceless. Chair And Car Deteriorate With The Passage Of Time, They Get Worn Out And Ultimately, Get Destroyed. But Ideas And Concepts May Not Necessarily Get Destroyed Or Encialed By Time, Instead, They May Get More Energy And May Become More Known In course Of Time.

More Use Of physical Thing Is The Wear And Tear. But Thought And Ideas Become More Clear, Deep And Strengthened By More And Better Usage.

Thought And Ideas Are Not By-Products Of the Brain.

Thought Is The Basis Of All Actions And It Is The Soul, Which Thinks Through The Mechanism Of The Brain. Good Thoughts Bring Any One Peace And Evil Thoughts Result In Mental Tension And Peacelessness. One Should Therefore, Know The Thoughts So As To Be In Peace And to Spread Vibration Of Peace.
God Shiva

8. Thought is the nucleus.

I know how important thoughts are. Thoughts are the nucleus from which every action, every vibration springs. Thoughts shape our world. Thoughts are fertilized by knowledge usually creates thoughts in harmony with that knowledge. Knowledge usually creates thoughts in harmony with that knowledge. Knowledge gives wisdom; a person without knowledge is a person whose thought will be formed in ignorance.

Before people had correct knowledge of the shape of the world, thy thought that it was flat. Think how this thought, based on incorrect knowledge, must have affected people’s lives. No doubt belief system must have evolved around this thought. Cultural patterns, attitudes and expression must have been clearly influenced by this incorrect knowledge. Moreover, the incorrect thinking was not just isolated to one individual or a group of individuals, it was mass popular thinking. Perhaps it is mass ignorance.

Today I also live in a worked where there is inaccurate, incorrect and inadequate knowledge. Many people still have improper knowledge of themselves, of their destiny, of their purpose in life and of God. These misconceptions lead them to a life of improper action based on improper thoughts.

One of the aspects of knowledge most lacking in today’s world is that of self.
To explore and define oneself only in terms of the physical is a great error. To think that I am only my body is to be body-conscious. To be body-conscious means to express my whole life on the basis of inaccurate perceptions based on incorrect knowledge.

9. Self Respect Creates Elevated Thoughts:

Elevated thoughts are the decoration of elevated souls – elevated thoughts are such that they can cross the physical walls and are free from selfish motives. Such thoughts are automatically created when one stays in the stage of self respect.

The vicious vibration of the Iron Age cannot touch those who are under the God’s vision. So in order to free yourself from any iron – aged sorrow or obstacle you have to stay in your self respect and automatically other people will obey you and give you co-operation as they see royal sanskars emerge in you.

When you remain set on the seat, your seat will always have the canopy of protection of the rays of powers of the sun of knowledge. You get off the seat and build a wall of wasteful and weak thoughts. Are you going to continue these games even now? The world is waiting for you messengers of peace to come. Our deities are about to come to give us blessing of peace. They are crying out loudly and ringing bells loudly. Sometimes, they even beat drums etc. They are calling out come! come! If you deity souls still continue with your children games, then how would you hear the call? Therefore listen to their call and have mercy on them. Do you understand? What you have to do?

Maintaining self respect and giving respect to others means we create a beautiful kingdom.

10. The Greatest Instrument - Thought

The most powerful instrument that mankind possesses is thought power. I look at the physical world and observe the devastating power of atomic and nuclear weapons. A nuclear warhead the size of a cricket ball can wipe out a whole city, even an entire country ; and yet who made such devices? Man or to be more accurate, the mind of man. And which is the most powerful, creator or creation?

The one who creates has the greater power. Some say that our thoughts are more powerful than nuclear weapons. So what has gone wrong? Why can I not use this power of the mind to benefit myself and others?

Firstly, I have forgotten that I ever had this power, and secondly, I no longer have the ability to harness and make use of it.

I have forgotten that I am a soul and have developed the false concept of myself as being merely a body; and in so doing, I immediately limit myself to all that is physical. However, life does not exist only on a physical level. For example, I have to think, remember, decide, experience, judge, learn and a long list of other functions that the body itself cannot perform. Can the body has memory or the ability to judge? Is it my leg, my elbow, my nose? It is the soul that performs these tasks.

11. Language of thoughts

One Conversation is through the language of the eyes.

The Second Conversation is in the language of feelings.

The language of the mouth is the most common.

The language of thought is the most elevated language of all because of the power of thoughts is the most elevated power. It is the original power and the fastest language of all is the language of thought no matter how far away some one is and even if you don’t have any facilities of communication with the language of thoughts you can give anyone a message. At the end it will be their language of thought that will be useful.

12. Start the Day well

Is it a very good morning? If the day begins with my thoughts scattered in many different directions or with anxiety about a situation to occur later in the day, it will prove difficult to maintain a positive attitude throughout the day. This is because my first series of thoughts in the morning set as the pattern for the whole day. If I do not use the early morning hours to sort out my thoughts. What other time in the day will I find to perform such a task?

To sort out thoughts there needs to be clarity in the intellect. I have to check and see if there are any wasteful thoughts and, if there are, then remove them by adopting a positive and pure attitude. If there are wasteful thoughts, and I try to battle with them , it is as if I am giving them lid and strength. Wasteful and negative thoughts are created by a weak mind; they have in real foundation; they are only paper tiger. Instead of battling with them I should simply create pure, positive thoughts which will automatically displace the weak, wasteful ones. For example, instead of thinking, “ I must not get angry” I must not angry, I must not get angry” Which is negative conditioning, it is better to think, “ I understand why they behave that way”.

13. Try to Think one pure thought every day

I am what I think. The mind is constantly occupied in the thought process, and it is virtually impossible to have a vacant yet Alive mind. Without doubt, my entire world has been created by my thought. Sometimes the result take a longer period to come into they practical. However, het fact remains that thought, when given constant energy and attention, will come into practical. they are the basis for all my action.
If I must think, and if by by thinking increate the worlds around me, negative or positive through action negative or positive wouldn’t it then makes sense for me to think the very highest of thoughts, the purest of thoughts, So htat the would anger. A pure thought, when transferred into action, enrich the creator as well as the creation. It is an Energy that is formed at he most exalted levels of self respect, but extends far beyond the self , making everything it touches exalted.

Pure thoughts are becoming, Sadly rare, as is be of that corresponding quality – high noble and pure?

And what is a pure thought? All thought pure simply by nature of being a thought? A pure thought is free from all the vices such as Ego hatred, pride, Jealousy, Greed of Evidence by the worlds I have created around me the pollution in all areas speaks of impurity within the thought processes.

14 Be What You Want To Be

We can actually choose our thoughts. The power of choice is the greatest gift to life.

When I Find myself feeling down I know this is also my choice. I know I can , make the conscious decision to change my feelings and I will then experience joy and well – being. I can simply accept what is in my environment(Things are what they are) and change my attitude. If I prefer blue skies to gray I can choose to enjoy the day whatever the weather is … If a close friend of relative leaves the body. I can choose to feel sorrow for myself or to feel happiness for them as they go on to another realm of experience.

I believe that one of the most powerful moments in my life was the moment I realized that I had a choice. not only do I have the power to choose action n but I also have the power to choose my thoughts and my mood.

No body can make me angry. I am the one who choose to have the experience of anger when an upsetting event occurs, I select my response will it be anger and initiation of will it be acceptance or forgiveness?

Have you felt at time that others have hurt your feelings?

Actually, They have not done anything to you, they are simply acting in the way they choose to act. you are the one who choose to react with hurt anger whatever other emotion(Energy in motion) you chooses. No matter what kind of work I have to do, no mater what kind of people came in front of me, the knowledge which I imbibed through raja yoga enabled me to remain stable and practical spirituality. Which cannot be attained blind faith and rituals of worship.

15. The Power of Your Thoughts

(Absolutely everything that you have in your life at this moment is a result of your thoughts)

Our past thoughts have created our current reality and we are creating our futures with the thought we think right now, in the present moment. Have you ever thought about that? That absolutely everything that you have in your life at this moment is a result of your thoughts (both conscious and unconscious0 that you have had in the past. It takes time to let this idea sink in and then finally accept it. It sparks a lot of questions too. Do we therefore choose the things that we don’t like as well as those that we do? Do we create our own bad luck? the more we think about it, the more sense it makes. Everything that we read from the great spiritual masters and teachers always comes down to the same message.

You are the creator. You do it all the time, whether you are conscious of it for not. You cannot stop it even if you try. you are one great big creation machine. When we create deliberately, consciously, then we call this manifestation. How can you manifest what you want? There are three basic steps:
with the thoughts you think
with the words you speak
with the action you perform

With our thoughts we sow the seeds of everything that we create in our lives, and everything that exsts in our lives. In our reality, everything has been created by us , beginning with our thoughts. If we can accept this and take responsibility for it, then we have taken a major steptowards raising our awareness and consciousness. Once we accept this, we stop blaming outside influences(including her people) for what happens in our life. This exercise is also very empowering. Because if, then we also have the power to change whatever we don’t like, whatever no longer serves us, whatever no longer reflects who we are.

So we cannot afford the luxury of a negative experiences into our reality. This the power that we all have. To create and control our own reality by the power of our own thoughts.

Tell your parents, “The worst thing you can possibly do for me is to worry about me. You are helping to create for me the things you worry about on about me. You are helping to create for me things you worry about on my behalf. When your child on is riding his bike along the roadside and there is traffic, instead of worrying about all the ways that an accident might happen, instead of telling him to careful, think positive, see him joyfully riding his bike, carefree, completely safe. He cannot have an accident as that is simply not a possibility in your, not his reality. It cannot happen. Do you see power of this?

What do you want in your life, Do you know? Visualize yourself, having it enjoying it. Feeling good? Now comes the hard part. Can you stop thinking negative thought into your awareness, every time you give it energy, you push away from you the very thing that you are wanting.

We have seen how powerful is creation on a personal level. Imagine this power magnified thousands of times. Now we are talking about the awesome power of thought creation when this thought is held and given life energy by many thousand, perhaps even millions of people. This can be thought creation by fear, and most of their thoughts are about what they do not want to happen. Most of the world so called “natural disasters” are brought about in this way.

We then seek someone to blame. God, Mother Nature, whatever never, never do we take responsibility for these creations ourselves.

To get caught up in mass consciousness is to be in a dangerous place. Here we lose the power of your own individual thought creations, subjugated to the more powerful group thoughts of the mass, which are almost always predominantly negative in nature. To step outside of begin our own true spiritual growth.

The time is near when people will be les concerned with material wealth and more concerned with spiritual wealth. The earth is changing beneath our very feet and on amount of money or political manipulation can stop that. the power in our thoughts can. With our thoughts we can create a different future. Nothing is written in stone. We can have whatever future we choose. Now that we know how powerful we are, will we still think the same? Our thoughts contain the energy to manifest physical reality. What will we do with them? We have the power. The power to make real changes. This is the power to change the world. And it starts with you.

16. Flying planes with thought power pushpak viman in the offing

All the wonder s of thought:

All the world was created with thought power. A brilliant mind some where, sometime envisioned the idea of a machine that could fly and the aero planes were born another one visualized a machine that could match the function of the mind and a computer was created within a short span of time it become possible to access the whole world through these machines any where any time. Intense research in the area of computers, neuroscience, atomic energy etc. is going no which will change the way we live in the future. An energy whose immense potential in the modern technology is yet to be realized is the thought energy. That human mind can do marvels is a generally accepted motion but that it called directly control matter or machines may seem to be a farfetched idea. Could our thoughts control a machine without any manual interface? Latest development in the field of neuro- engineering are pointing to a future in which vehicles would be controlled by our thoughts.

Every action that we do with our body. Such as lifting a finger a process of translation of the thought energy into motor function. The brain sends signals to the particular muscles to move in a certain way.

According to a news item in Times of India recently:

Scientists at NASA’S Ames research centre in the US have recently demonstrated the ability to control of 757 passenger jet, simulation with the pilot. Just closing his fist in empty air and making appropriate movements there.

They have found that a computer can equate such unique nerve signal pattern with a particular gesture with the help of electrodes placed along the arm. A neural net, soft where then interprets these signals and annunciates them with the action of gripping a joy stick and moving it in a forward direction. The computer which is connected to the joy stick independently. Simulates the action without the intervention of the human being.

In essence, this research indicates that human nerve signals can directly
control devices without the aid of joy sticks.

One day the machines would directly pick up our thoughts without any electrode implants? Where automobiles or planes would need no control devices except a neuro electric device that would translate all thought signals of the device to the functioning of the vehicle.

Our ancient, scriptures also make reference to pushpak vimans that fly at the impulse of a thought. In fact the Satyuga or the Golden age was a period in which science was fully refined and fool proof. It was perfect as every thing in the world follows a cyclic pattern. the time has now come where the scientific developments of the present, age will again bring about that age of perfection.

Behind all the success of all these scientific endow ours lies the power of pure thoughts. The more and more our thoughts become vice less focused and elevated, the more our mind will be able to control matter.

This can happen only when we use the science of silence i.e meditation and spiritual knowledge to develop the latent powers of our mind and intellect. A pure thoughts was the power to move mountains or to fly an aero plane. So what human kind is going to witness in the future is not, just the marvels of science but the perfect energy of mind and matters.

Silence is Golden

Silence is a power, which can take either positive or a negative form. If I understand the nature of this power. I can use it in a beneficial way.

There are two levels of silence: physical and mental.

Physical silence because it suggests absence of life or company, just as when a person dies, there is total silence afterwards.

In comparison to this, mental silence is the absence of wasteful thinking. Wasteful thinking refers to negative thoughts. In contrast to this positive thinking refers to thoughts which benefit the self as well as others. Constant positive thinking creates the virtue of serenity and stabilizes me as well as my companions. This type of silence power is like a fragrance, which fills room. It is an unspoken language. Which can cross all barriers. This silence is not a blank state or the silence of someone sulking, but rather the deep comfort and joy one can experience after being relieved of some pressure of burden.

Eternal Laws.
Whatever is new become old everything passes through this process. I look back into time. In a second or less. My thoughts take me to a place far away both in time and space; for a moment. I relive the scenes of the past, and then I come back to the present, with a smile on my face. The smile quickly changes, and is sigh when I realize how different the present is. “What has happened? Why couldn’t it be like that still?”
There is a simple law, which states, “Whatever is new must beacon old”. It is always good to know the laws. I may not think that they make much sense. I even disagree with them; but some laws just cannot be changed. So I learn to live with them and follow them. There’s no point in asking questions as to why, how, when, where and what. It doesn’t matter. The point is that I should understand the laws of living and take benefit from them. Here are three such laws that won’t change and are worth remembering:
1. Whatever I sow, I will reap.
2. Whatever is new will become old.
3. Whatever I don’t use, I lose.

Do You know How to make yourself Feel Good?

Can you accomplish this without the use of food alcohol, drugs, cigarettes or other addictive sources?
Let’s identity some of the positive choices you already have for making yourself feel food.
Write down a list of things that you currently do to change, how you feel.
Example: I realized that playing music was one of the most powerful ways I could change my state quickly. Reading was another way to feel good because it changed my focus and I love to learn.

There are some others dancing, singing along with my favorite CDS watching a comedy film, meditation, drawing, gardening. Telling jokes to friends, polishing up my memories vividly remembering a wonderful experience. If you don’t have a plan for pleasure, you will have pain. Develop a plan for pleasure for each and every day.

HABIT

The beginning of a habit is like a invisible thread, but every time we repeat the act we strengthen the strand, add to it another filaments until it becomes a great cable and binds us incvocably thought and act.

We first, make our habits and then habits make us.

How to break or build a habit. - You are a creature of habit, habit is the function of your subconscious mind you learned to swim, ride a bicycle dance and drive a car by consciously doing these things over and over again until they established tracks in your subconscious mind then, the automatic habit action of your sub-conscious mind took over .

MENTAL DIET

That is take a set period of time and take conscious control of all your thoughts. A mental diet is an opportunity to eliminate the negative and destructive pattern of thinking and feeling, the inevitably come from living life in an emotionally reactionary and mentally undisciplined fashion.

A new level of thinking is now required in order to experience a new level of personnel and professional success.

Our Questions Determine Our thoughts.

1. Quality question create a quality life.
2. Always the beautiful answer who asks a more beautiful question.
3. Your mental computer is ever ready to serve you and whatever question you give it , it will surely come up with an answer.

What am I happy about in my life now?
What am I excited about in my life now?
What am I proud about in my life now?
